CHESS ETF

The reach of the CHESS project is wider than the earlier projects of RMSA in Maharashtra. At least one English teacher from each and every state board school is the member of English Teacher Forum. Every Block Resource Centre or Urban Resource Centre have their own forum.

This is a major step in universalisation of education in secondary schools of Maharashtra.Expert guidance and support is now available to the English teachers at block level. The number of ETFs will be increased if there are more than 50 teachers in a block or centre.There were six ETF meetings in the first year of the project while the number of ETF meetings are 10. Out of these 5 are face to face meetings while 5 others are online ETF sessions. The Moderators are experts having completed four years of ELISS (English Language Initiative for Secondary Schools) training and have supported mentee teachers under the mentoring scheme before.

The project is technology-driven hence the ETF Moderators and Members will get ample opportunities of technology integration for online collaboration and creating their own Personal Learning Network.The real beneficiaries of the project are the students of standard 9th and 10th standard in Maharashtra. There are around 30 lakh high school students who will reap benefits of this project.

El alcance del proyecto CHESS es más amplio que los proyectos anteriores de RMSA en Maharashtra. Al menos un maestro de inglés de todas y cada una de las escuelas estatales es miembro del English Teacher Forum. Cada Block Resource Center o Urban Resource Center tiene su propio foro.

Este es un paso importante en la universalización de la educación en las escuelas secundarias de Maharashtra. La orientación y el apoyo expertos ahora están disponibles para los maestros de inglés a nivel de bloque. El número de ETF se incrementará si hay más de 50 maestros en un bloque o centro. Hubo seis reuniones de ETF en el primer año del proyecto, mientras que el número de reuniones de ETF es 10. De estas 5 son reuniones cara a cara mientras que otros 5 son sesiones en línea de ETF. Los moderadores son expertos que han completado cuatro años de capacitación ELISS (Iniciativa del idioma inglés para escuelas secundarias) y han apoyado a maestros aprendices en el esquema de mentoría antes.

El proyecto está impulsado por la tecnología, por lo tanto, los moderadores y miembros de la ETF tendrán amplias oportunidades de integración de tecnología para la colaboración en línea y la creación de su propia red de aprendizaje personal. Los verdaderos beneficiarios del proyecto son los estudiantes de los estándares estándar noveno y décimo en Maharashtra. Hay alrededor de 30 estudiantes de secundaria lakh que cosecharán los beneficios de este proyecto.
